Uploading Tips
Here are some tips to help you with uploading your content. If you need additional help, please feel free to contact us.
Tip 1: All featured images (The main image that is displayed) should be uploaded in .jpg format. If your image is in a different format, please convert it first before trying to upload.
Tip 2: All attachments, which are the downloaded files, need to be compressed into a .zip file. This allows for faster uploading and downloading.
Tip 3: Tags are used to help find your uploads easier. You should separate each tag with comma.
Tip 4: You can add up to 5 gallery images when uploading. These images should show examples of what the heightmap will look like when used. For example, if you use the heightmap for CNC, upload a photo of what the finished piece will look like.
Tip 5: You can only choose 1 category when uploading. You should choose the category that best represents your image. If your image falls into multiple categories, choose the best one and add tags to include the others. If you feel a new category is needed, please contact us and we’ll look into getting that category added.
Tip 6: Your description should be detailed. You should include what the heightmap can be used for along with any machines, software you used, settings, etc. The better a description, the more likely you are that someone will download your file(s).
Tip 7: When it comes to pricing, you should set your price on what you feel is reasonable. Setting a price to high will result in fewer downloads and purchases. The lower you set the price, the more appealing it will be to others. Search for similar uploads so you can compare your pricing. (Note: The minimum price you can sell your files is $0.50)
Tip 8: Make your file names unique. For example, if your file is a baseball, don’t just put “baseball” in the title. Instead, use something like ” Baseball Heightmap 16Bit Resolution”. A better descriptive title will result in more views and downloads.
